It's new issue day!πŸŽ‰πŸ“°

Dear Reader,

We're arriving to your inbox with confetti and jazz hands to tell you - Issue 71 has arrived! Hooray! It's new issue day which means new projects, new articles, new columns, all awaiting you!

In this issue we're joined by Malgorzata Banjo, who talks about how to balance our creativity with our energy levels, and Editor Jane Kelly does a deep dive on getting set up for successful sewing.

Plus ten brand new patterns ready for you to add to your to-make list! Like this rainbow dazzler of a cover quilt by Tamsyn Armstrong.

Pairing black and white with rainbow brights is a classic favourite for quilters. This quilt takes one block and cleverly reverses the positioning of the black and white units in alternating blocks for a stunning rainbow effect. It's the perfect project for anyone with a love of colour!

We're off to a cracking start, but there's more inside...

MAKE ten beautiful patterns - Rainbow brights, broken hearts, geometric gems, scrappy skies, and an appliquΓ© cushion to brighten any room. Something for every quilter and every skill level.

MEET inspiring makers - Australian quilt shop owner and pattern designer Tamsyn Armstrong who started out with cross stitch and embroidery and evolved into patchwork projects and then to quilts! Plus we talk with Lisa Fuller, living in Norway, (see her project for some beautiful landscape shots!) who loves to design modern geometric quilts that won't take forever to make!

MOTIVATE – Sarah Ashford talks about the importance of creating a calm sewing space, with practical tips; Eva Saunders dives into how to tame the fickle beast that is inspiration; and HollyAnne Knight gets to the pointy end of needles and threads for free motion quilting.

Grab Issue 71 as a single issue, or get the absolute best value with ...

Hello Reader!, The cold weather has arrived here in Australia and it's utterly delightful. It's seeing me spending more time digging through the stash and sewing up all sorts of pretty things. My constant furry companions (a ragdoll kitty and a sheepadoodle dog) come hang out to stay warm under the heater - and of course to offer advice on which fabrics I should choose. They aren't the most helpful but they are good company. They also love a bit of a snuggle when I'm settling in for a good...
