It's new issue day!๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ“ฐ

Dear Reader,

It's our favourite day - new issue day! Make Modern Issue 70 has landed! It's a milestone worth celebrating and we're doing it with rainbow colour, slow stitches, and makers who are quietly changing the quilt world. Over 100 pages of stitching joy waiting for you!

In this issue we're joined by Nic Vaughan, Hand Piecing Queen who makes the case for hand piecing as the most portable, forgiving, and quietly satisfying way to sew, with practical tips on tools, technique, and ways to slow stitch for big joy. And Editor Jane Kelly regales us with tales of a recent trip to the Modern Quilt Show here in Australia ... with plenty of quilty eye candy!

Of course we have to talk about the quilt patterns too! Starting with our rainbow-tastic cover quilt, designed by Corinne Sovey!

Rainbows never go out of style, and this colour scheme is the perfect way to showcase any striped design. If you love bright colours and maximalist decor, this is the perfect quilt for you!

And that's just the cover! Naturally I'm sure you'd love to see what's inside ...

MAKE ten beautiful patterns - bold, bright colours, soft pastels, geometric designs, quilts of all kinds, plus the perfect project bag for quilters!

MEET inspiring makers - Latina quilters Lina Owen + Laura Duran, who spotted a gap in quilting resources for the Latina community and built a business to bridge it, and Rachel Langford, the New Zealand quilter who discovered foundation paper piecing and never looked back.

MOTIVATE โ€“ Sarah Ashford dives into finding inspiration in the everyday. Eva Saunders talks about ways to pay homage to our favourite pop culture themes through quilts. HollyAnne Knight shows us how to practice free motion quilting without wasting time or fabric.

Grab Issue 70 as a single issue, or get the absolute best value with ...

Our All-Access Pass. Unlock every issue ever published (that's over 700 quilt patterns!) for years of modern quilting inspiration. You deserve it!

We can't wait to see which project you choose to make first!

Happy making!

Kristy, Lara, Jane + Nic

Dear Reader, We have a little update to share! As you know, we are coming to the end of our time with Make Modern, but we wanted to make it easy to access all of our previous issues. All 70+ of them. So we created the All Access Pass - where you can get every issue that we've ever published. But maybe (like us), you've been wondering how you're going...

Hello Reader!, The cold weather has arrived here in Australia and it's utterly delightful. It's seeing me spending more time digging through the stash and sewing up all sorts of pretty things. My constant furry companions (a ragdoll kitty and a sheepadoodle dog) come hang out to stay warm under the heater - and of course to offer advice on which fabrics I should choose. They aren't the most helpful but they are good company. They also love a bit of a snuggle when I'm settling in for a good...
