Dear Reader,

Hip hip hooray, it's new issue day! Make Modern Issue 69 is here and we are SO excited to share it with you. Over 100 pages full of quilty goodness, ready and waiting!

We're joined by Ange Wilson who brings us a gorgeous roundup of book-themed quilt patterns, and Quilt Historian Tara Miller dives deep in her discussion, Modern Before Modern, asking, were the quilters of the 1800s already "modern"?

Kicking things off is this gorgeous quilt cover by Kelli Marshall:

Rainbow hues paired with fresh white, it's cheerful, fresh, and just the sweetest quilt! The perfect gift for a new baby, or a beautiful wallhanging to brighten your own space.

And just wait until you see what's inside...

MAKE ten beautiful quilt patterns - flying geese, hearts, stars, scrappy rainbow brights, a modern sampler, and more. There is something for every quilter, whatever your skill level or style.

MEET two inspiring makers - Canadian quilter Lindsay Upiter, FPP lover and mama of three under six, who makes modern quilts with a delightful touch of child-like whimsy. And Heather Davis from Alabama who walked away from quilting for years before her Second 'First' Quilt brought her back home โ€“ her story will warm your heart.

MOTIVATE โ€“ Sarah Ashford encourages us to slow down and take time for you. Eva Saunders shares the creative rollercoaster of designing a QuiltCon entry under deadline pressure. HollyAnne Knight tackles stitch regulation, Tara Miller asks: were the quilters of the 1800s already "modern", and Ange Wilson presents a fab roundup of book-themed quilt patterns โ€“ for every quilter who loves to read just as much as they love to sew.

Grab just issue 69 as a single issue, or get the absolute best value with ...

Our All-Access Pass. Unlock every issue ever published (that's over 700 quilt patterns!) for years of modern quilting inspiration. You deserve it!

We can't wait to see which project you choose to make first!

Happy making!

Kristy, Lara, Jane + Nic

So we created the All Access Pass - where you can get every issue that we've ever published. Hello Reader!, The cold weather has arrived here in Australia and it's utterly delightful. It's seeing me spending more time digging through the stash and sewing up all sorts of pretty things. My constant furry companions (a ragdoll kitty and a sheepadoodle dog) come hang out to stay warm under the heater - and of course to offer advice on which fabrics I should choose. They aren't the most helpful but they are good company. They also love a bit of a snuggle when I'm settling in for a good...
