Behind the Seams โœ‚๏ธ๐Ÿงต

Hello lovely reader!

Spring has well and truly arrived here in our part of the world - and while the weather might be warmer, it doesn't stop us for thinking about our next quilting project! I mean that's why air conditioners were invented right? Cool off the room and we can sew to our hearts content.
โ€‹
It's a good thing too because we're feeling mighty inspired by all the new projects that are out now in Issue 66! We checked out the first half last newsletter, let's look at the other five beauties waiting for us in the pages of 66!

You've seen our beautiful cover quilt, Rainbow Garden by Karen Bolan, but if you're loving that colour scheme, you just might love Eight Point Meadow (right) by Leanne Parsons just as much! This is the quilt for you if you have scraps (and who doesn't?!). Make a dent in the scrap stash by pairing colourful prints with a restful green background that gives off serious wildflowers in the meadow vibes. It's a great baby quilt or would work beautifully as a wall hanging.

If you're looking for a project designed for a riot of colour, one of these two just might tickle your fancy.

Dazzling Duplex (left) by Jamie Siel combines that winning combination - black white and candy brights! It features the classic colour scheme in an unexpected way.

Supernova (right) by Cass Merrigan is a showstopper of a scrap buster! It's also a great way to dip into a little bit of EPP. Mix all the colours like Cass's cushion or you could place a single colour around each hexagon for a different effect.

From bright colour, to striking quilts with a dark background - these are the last, but certainly not the least!, of our projects in Issue 66.

Firestorm (left) by Shayna Bennett combines fiery colours with a stark black to give the impression of a vibrant firestorm - though this clever design would look equally amazing in other colour schemes. Foundation paper pieced, this stunning quilt would make an eyecatching feature on any wall.

Maple Crisp (right) by Mercedes Rose was inspired by the native maple leaves and a crisp autumn palette featured on a serene navy. This is a show stopping medallion-style quilt that would look fantastic on the wall or draped over a lounge.
